I can’t believe it’s Week 7 already. Seems like opening weekend was just last week! Let’s get into it.
Buccaneers at Bills (-3): From the reports, doesn’t sound like Winston is going to be playing in this game. Bills are 2-0 at home and Ryan Fitzpatrick is garbage on the road. Well I was wrong. Koetter came out and said that Winston will play this weekend. Still taking Bills, but in a closer game. Give me Bills 24-23.
Ravens at Vikings (-5.5): As much as I would like to see the Vikings lose, I don’t see it in this game. Ravens just got beat by the Bears and got crushed by the Jaguars on the road in London. The only way they have a chance is to force turnovers. I’ll take the Vikings to win, but give me the Ravens against the spread. 21-17.
Jets at Dolphins (-3): Which Jay Cutler is going to show up? He’s proven that every year of his career that you can’t count on him being consistent. Jets, at home, were able to give the Patriots a run for their money. I’m taking the Jets here in an upset. Dolphins are riding a high beating the Falcons, but I like a team that has a chip on their shoulder. Jets 13-10.
Cardinals at Rams (-3.5): Is it 2008? Cardinals went and traded for Adrian Peterson to find their run game. They weren’t able to get anything going, in the run game, after David Johnson went down. Some how finds it with Peterson. As well as they did last week, I don’t see them running all over the Rams on the road. I think you’ll see plenty of Todd Gurley in this game. Be it on the ground or through the air. Give me the Rams 28-14.
Jaguars (-3) at Colts: The Colts need to shut Andrew Luck down and just turn the season over to Jacoby Brissett. Let him focus instead of looking over his shoulder to see if Luck is going to play. I know Fournette is hurt so the game may have to be in Blake Bortles’s hands. As much as I don’t like that, I still am taking the Jaguars here. Jags defense is too good and Colts defense is way too bad. Jaguars 31-10.
Saints (-6) at Packers: You can throw the game tape away from last week for Hundley. The game plan was set for Rodgers and he didn’t practice with the 1st string all week. Drew Brees is notoriously bad on the road in an outside stadium. Packers are beat up on both sides of the ball, but if they can somehow get some players out there I feel they can squeak this one out before the bye week. This may be a homer pick, but Packers 17-14.
Panters (-3) at Bears: Is Cam going to keep his vintage self going? Is Kelvin Benjamin going to play? Doesn’t matter. That defense will give Trubisky fits all day long. Panthers 38-13.
Titans (-5.5) at Browns: You read this game features the Browns, right? Kevin Hogan is still starting? Titans 31-7.
Cowboys (-6) at 49ers: Zeke is still cleared to play for this week. May be his last game before the suspension. I see a lot of him this week. 49ers went to Washington and almost pulled off an upset. I’m taking the Cowboys, but 49ers against the spread. Cowboys 21-19.
Broncos at Chargers (-1.5): Chargers are actually favored in this game. Playing in a stadium that fits 30,000, but still can’t sell out though? Gotta do better if you want to challenge the Broncos. Siemian isn’t missing any time so we don’t have to worry about seeing Osweiler. Broncos 24-20.
Bengals at Steelers (-5.5): Steelers finally figured out that having the best running back (arguably) in the game will actually benefit you. These games are always close and I actually see Big Ben having a nice game against the Bengals secondary. LeVeon will open up some throwing lanes that Ben hasn’t seen all year. Steelers to win, but Bengals against the spread. Steelers 24-23.
Seahawks (-5.5) at Giants: Seahawks are coming off their bye week feeling fresh. Giants are down to their full practice squad at wide receiver. Even though they beat the Broncos, I don’t see them beating another top tier team. Seahawks 20-10.
Falcons at Patriots (-3.5): Super Bowl rematch. You know the one where Falcons had a 28-3 lead with 2 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter? Good times, Good times. Well i think it’s going to be a shoot out in Foxboro come Sunday night. Patriots defense has let up 6 straight quarterbacks to throw for over 300 yards and going up against a guy that puts up numbers against defenses like this. With Stephon Gilmore out and probably Eric Rowe, this is nothing but a shoot out. Patriots 38-31.
Redskins at Eagles (-4.5): Josh Norman has a chance to come back to play in this game (I doubt that he does). Carson Wentz has been hot lately and looking like a MVP candidate. At home, against a division rival, with momentum? I’m taking the Eagles to win, but Redskins against the spread. Eagles 24-21.
There you have it folks. Those are my week 7 predictions. Let me know who you have this week!
