Yesterday, I wrote a very personal article. Today: We’re back to sports!
I hope everyone was able to get through week 7 unscathed with a W. We’re starting the second half of the fantasy season (for most). The next couple weeks are big weeks in the fantasy world. This week, we have 6 teams on bye week: Cardinals, Packers, Rams, Giants, Titans and Jaguars. That means teams are going to scramble to replace Todd Gurley, Jordy Nelson, Leonard Fournette, etc. We also saw Carson Palmer go down last week so we’re looking at a long term replacement for him (if you still used him even).
My top adds:
Case Keenum- He’s on the road, in London, but he’s going up against the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has, surprisingly, very good against the run. That means the Vikings are going to have to go through the air to win the game. A lot of opportunities to find his WRs.
Tyrod Taylor- At home and against the Raiders. Tyrod can beat you on the ground or through the air, which is added value for a week with 6 byes.
Dion Lewis- If he’s even out there anymore, in your league. Dion finally looks healthy and ready to return as the lead runner. Gillislee has been ineffective with his touches going down. Seems to me that the Patriots are game planning around Lewis as the lead runner with James White on passing downs.
Marlon Mack- For some reason, the Colts haven’t turned to him, yet. I do believe he will take over for Frank Gore. Gore is getting older and losing a step. Colts season is also going into the tank. Look for them to turn to Mack to see what they have in their rookie.
Josh Doctson- Pryor and Cousins haven’t been able to get on the same page this season. Last week, Pryor only played 1 play the first half while finishing with 2 catches and 14 yards. The plays that Pryor occupied from weeks prior? Doctson received those. For WR, I like to play ones that are actually seeing the field.
Ted Ginn Jr- Yes, that Ted Ginn Jr. Michael Thomas came up on the injury report with a knee injury. After watching the Saints against the Packers, seems that Brees prefers Ginn over Coleman. With his speed, he’s always a homerun threat as well.
Tyler Kroft- Red zone targets. Red zone targets. Red zone targets. He has 3 touchdowns the last 3 weeks. Unless you have Gronk, all you’re looking for is a TE that can get you a td or two for this week.
I hope this helps you out this week. Comment how your team is doing or how you did week 8. Looking to start releasing this on Tuesdays since most waiver periods go through Wednesday morning. Let me know your thoughts!
