IT’S FINALLY OVER! (I think). The panel of 3 appellate judges ruled in the NFL’s favor today. Ezekiel Elliot will finally have to serve his 6 game suspension starting this weekend. In NFL fashion, it took until week 10 to finally figure this out. Honestly? I got sick of this after he was allowed to play week 1. The thing that I don’t understand is how can someone get suspended when he wasn’t charged with a crime? Anyways, we move on.
For anyone that has Zeke on their fantasy team, here are my top adds:
RB Rod Smith- Everyone is thinking that Alfred Morris will be the back to pick up or even Darren McFadden. When they released the depth chart last week, Rod Smith was the #2 back behind Alfred Morris. The Cowboys are really high on Smith though. You know what you’re going to get out of Alfred Morris and I always like the surprise attack (i.e. Kareem Hunt). Watch for Smith to take over the lions share of the carries.
RB Devontae Booker- CJ Anderson missed practice today after coming down with an illness. That boads well for Booker to get more carries this week. When a player misses practice, you would rather have it be earlier in the week. Illness this late might make it hard for CJ to see the field this weekend, depending on what illness he has. I’ve also read reports that Booker was going to be getting more looks going forward anyways.
Look for these guys on your waiver wire. Scoop them up before someone else does.
