Well that was an interesting weekend to say the least. I thought there was a good slate of games on tap for us. I think it’s safe to say that they didn’t disappoint. Let’s get into the headlines.
Are the Bills crazy?: Yes. Yes, they are. Going into this game, Tyrod Taylor only had 3 picks. Some say his QB play was lackluster, which you could make an argument for that. I would make an argument that the defense has been piss poor. They’re not a team that is going to win a shootout. Their offense is built as a zone run/zone read type of offense. If they get behind, the defense knows they’re not running the ball so they only need to play the pass. So let’s bench Tyrod? Come on, man! Then you put in Peterman doesn’t throw just 1, or 2, or 3, or 4, but 5 INTs in the first half! Tyrod shouldn’t have been benched in the first place, but should’ve went in relief after the 3rd pick. Gotta question the brass in Buffalo.
Broncos continue to slide: In recent memory, have we seen this type of turn around? The Rams are having a turn around season, but for the better. The defense has been a top notch defense for quite some time now and all of a sudden they fall off the face of the earth. It’s not like they’ve lost many guys. Is Wade Phillips that great of a coach? I know their offense is in shambles, but other than Peyton Manning they haven’t really had a quarterback so that’s not new. I can’t believe you would let Andy Dalton come in and beat you on your own turf. That has to be rock bottom, right? We will see..
I’m back on the McCarthy sucks wagon: The one week that I give McCarthy credit the Packers gave us that showing. What an embarrassment of a showing. I’ve never been more embarrassed to be a Packer fan. Now there’s players saying that they’ve “spoiled us”. Dude, that’s your job! Fans do have a right to boo you when you come out onto the field and give us that performance. If I give credit to McCarthy again, I want someone to slap me right in the face. Week 12 is going to be interesting facing Steelers, primetime and in Pittsburgh. That’s a recipe for more disaster.
Eagles-Patriots on a collision course for Super Bowl: Can we book it, yet? I would hold off. I know everyone wants to get in on the Eagles because of how well they’re playing, but it only matters how well Wentz plays in playoffs. Patriots have been the only franchise that you can almost guarantee a spot in the playoffs year after year. Vikings have the defense to get there, but I think the Saints will be the biggest test for the Eagles.
Fantasy Update: This is now 6 weeks in a row going 3-0. Clinched at least the #2 seed in one league, playoff spot in another and need a win this week to clinch all 3. Overall record is 28-5.
Picks Recap: 7-6 (Ouch)
